Well, that's it for the Wagamese's week 4 rotation! And what a whirlwind of simoleons and success it’s been! This round may have been a bit shorter than what's standard for me, but it still managed to pack a solid punch of milestones and fun moments! Here’s a quick look back at Tom and Roland's week:

Business was blooming this round! The Smithy saw an unprecedented flood of customers, racking up good reviews, record‑breaking sales, and - big moment - acquiring ✨️ Level 10 Business ✨️ status! What a roaring success! This means that there's now one open slot in the Business Career!

Work hard, play hard: to counter-balance all the grind, Tom and Roland took a refreshing fishing trip in the forest clearing (complete with Rufus in tow), and installed a basketball hoop in their backyard. Early morning layups have now become the new norm!

Industry begets prosperity: Tom earned §25,000 from the Smithy! Also, his property value is now §176,778, officially launching the Wagamese household into Upper-Class territory. Talk about climbing the social (and financial) ladder!

Still on the topic of successes: Roland was able to bag a Silver Cash Register badge!

Between wake‑ups, potty breaks, shopper meet‑and‑greets, homestead 'protection,' and nightly tuck‑ins, Rufus proved once again why he’s the Goodest Boi. Bonus: Roland’s 'hover‑treat' technique taught him a perfect Sit Up!

Tom finally had 'the talk' with his not-really-girlfriend Naomi, turning their awkward first‑date vibes into a solid friendship. But it hasn't been all farewells: Tom’s eyes are now on Tabitha, the shy shopper with the big hazel eyes! Meanwhile, Lady Rosalind has been making frequent visits, though what exactly she wants from Tom is still somewhat of a mystery.

Mid‑week chills hit when Gabriel Blackbird crash‑landed at the Wagamese's door, pleading help in Annika’s disappearance. Tom and crew searched high and low... only to learn days later that Annika was safely home. Gabriel's fate, however, remains uncertain.

Upper‑Class status means steeper taxes! Tom sent a whopping §2,000 to the Crown this round - double the amount he used to pay! But worry not, there's plenty more dough left to play with in Week 5!

Lupin the 3rd is an adult comedy anime series about a charismatic thief who robs from the rich and gives to himself (and his buddies). I drew Keralis in this style for the meme (and the massive eyes). Please be aware: Lupin the 3rd is an old series that has a LOT of crass sexual humor. Trust me, like, boob jokes galore on a tame day. All installments of the Lupin franchise (that I've seen anyway) are aimed at an adult audience. Lupin the 3rd: Part 2 follows the misadventures of the grandson of gentleman thief Arsène Lupin of literary fame. The show tells the story of Lupin and his friends as they pull wacky heists to steal from the wealthy, get rich, and avoid the dogged police detective, Zenigata, who follows them everywhere and is definitely not in love with Lupin. This show has made me do an embarrassing bark laugh many times against my will. It is not a show to take too seriously as Lupin is, at his core, a clown of a man who hangs out with two overly serious boyfriends platonic buddies who are pretending as hard as they can that they are not also clowns. The only consistently competent person in the entire show is Lupin's will-they-won't-they love interest, Fujiko, who tries her best to kill him every other episode.

Style references:

Lupin and the gang! Lupin is the guy who is shooting you.

Lupin and Jigen, the man whose heart he stole (this is canon). They're inseparable.

Lupin the 3rd: Part 2 has multiple title designs. I picked this one because it's my favourite.

And on this high note, the Irving week 4 rotation is finished! Things are finally looking up for Dominick, what with him getting promoted AND engaged in the same week! I really hope he can keep it up! ☀️

Dominick started his week off strong, with a promotion to University Guest Lecturer! The rise in pay was nothing to scoff at, and neither was the extra day off he now had on Tuesdays!

Our normally timid protagonist was surprisingly social this week, mingling with work colleagues and nobles alike! He had a particularly positive interaction with Queen Aruena, who offered him a spot at the new University that's in the works.

Dominick finally decided to take his relationship with Ambrose to the next level - the two lovebirds are now happily engaged! They went on a highly successful coffee date to celebrate the occasion (and boy, did they ever celebrate! 💜👀)

But not everyone was as fortunate: Dominick was caught amidst the Blackbirds' family tragedy when Annika disappeared and Gabriel came back from the search heavily injured. Dominick did his best to be there for his neighbors, even hosting Marcus in order to put his mind off of the troubling events... though in the end, it was Marcus who ended up comforting him instead.

Meanwhile, Cassiopeia was busy with her usual shenanigans, from wooing sims to fighting wolves. She also learned a fun new command from her hooman - 'Play Dead'!

After a lot of trial and error, Dominick was finally able to create a Sentry Bot! The silver Robotics talent badge he got in the process was the icing on the cake.

He diligently paid his dues, sending the usual §500 in taxes to the Crown.

For anyone who hasn't been up to date on the clown show that is the American news, I'll give a quick recap because oh boy.

So Jeffrey Goldberg is the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic. One day, he gets a notification on his phone from the messaging app "Signal". He sees that he's been added to a group chat called "Houthi PC small group". He thinks nothing of it at first, until a couple days later he sees on the news that the U.S. is bombing Yemen. He takes a look and sees that he has been added to a group chat by the National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.

Plenty of government officials including vice president JD Vance were in this conversation, and they were discussing their bombing on Yemen. And Jeffrey Goldberg, editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, was added by mistake.

So Goldberg approached the White House, who confirmed that he had been accidentally added to the chat. He then posted part of the conversation in a news story on the front page of his news website, omitting any classified information as to not get arrested for that level of security breach.

The response from the administration has been wild. They're all smearing the journalist, obviously, but their responses at first varied from "he made it all up" to "he must've hacked is way in" to "big deal, people add people to group chats on accident all the time". Eventually, they were put in front of Congress to testify under oath, where they said that nothing in the conversation was classified information like military hours or types of weapons used.

In response, Goldberg said "Oh, so it's not classified? Okay then! That means I can do this," and then he released the full unedited conversation. The conversation was nothing but classified information like military hours and the types of weapons used.

Not only are they communicating on private phones on third party apps as a way to circumvent the Presidential Records Act (the chat was interestingly set to auto-delete messages after 4 weeks), but it really kinda highlights the incompetence of America's leadership right now.

They're not going to win.
